Follow these structural culinary rituals to execute this dish perfectly.

Step 1

Peel and cut the raw banana into medium-sized pieces. Cook with salt, turmeric powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, and enough water until tender.

Once the water has almost dried up, add a coarsely ground paste of coconut, green chilly, and cumin. Mix well.

Cook until the coconut mixture is well combined and most of the moisture has evaporated.

Lower the flame and add the whisked curd. Mix gently and heat briefly. Do not let the curd boil. Switch off the flame.

Mix gently and serve as part of a traditional Kerala Sadhya.
